What we collect

We collect information you choose to give us — for example, when you submit a story, join the mailing list, or contact us. That can include your name, email address, and the content of your submission. We also collect standard technical information when you visit the site (such as browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from your IP address) through website analytics.

How we use it

  • To operate and improve the website and our content
  • To review story submissions and, where you grant permission, feature them in Professor Condom content
  • To send updates you asked for, such as the mailing list
  • To understand how visitors use the site so we can make it better

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except with service providers that help us run the site (such as hosting and analytics providers), or where the law requires it.

Story submissions

Stories you submit may be adapted into content published under the Professor Condom brand. Unless you tell us otherwise, submissions are treated as anonymous — we do not publish names or identifying details without permission.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and to measure how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

The Wobbly Stool app · Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026 · Version wobbly-terms-2026-10-17. This policy describes The Wobbly Stool app, including account data, private tables and the signed-in Community.

Who we are

The Wobbly Stool is offered by Trouble Street LLC under the Professor Condom brand. “We,” “us” and “our” refer to Trouble Street LLC. Contact us at jkinney@flip-tech.com.

Account and security information

We use your email address and chosen display name to create your account and send sign-in codes. We record your account identifier, adult and Terms confirmation, and sign-in/security information such as code and session hashes, expiry times, attempts and request IP addresses. These records support authentication, abuse prevention and service operation. Your 18+ confirmation is a declaration; the app does not verify an identity document or your age.

Gameplay and content

We store your tables, membership, table timezone, daily rosters, votes and results to run the game and preserve shared history. We also store community posts, comments, reactions and table messages you submit, plus the reports and feedback you send. Feedback may include a screen, table, platform or app version you choose to provide.

Votes stay private

Other players see participation and aggregate results, not a list of who voted for whom. The server stores the individual vote needed to count one vote per person and calculate the result.

Who can see what

Community posts and comments are visible to signed-in members, beyond the people at your private table. Table chat, rounds and results are available to that table’s members. Authorized moderators can inspect reports and relevant reported content to handle safety problems; moderation actions are logged. Blocking hides a member’s community posts, comments and shared-table messages from you, but does not change table membership or shared round results.

Reminders and product use

If you enable reminders, we store a push token, platform, timezone and notification preferences to send and route them. You can change reminder preferences in the app and notification permission in your device settings. We record first-party usage events, such as opening a result or sending a message, and the campaign code or route associated with a sign-up to understand service use. Analytics event properties do not contain your message body or a list of individual voter choices. Hosting request/error information helps operate and diagnose the service.

Service providers

The service uses Railway/Postgres hosting, Resend for sign-in email, and Expo with Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional reminders. Media hosting delivers the brand content you open. Providers receive the information needed for those functions. The app stores session and recovery information on your device as well as relevant account and service records on the server.

What we don’t do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use private table content for advertising, do not publish it outside your table, and do not use it to train AI. We do not share it with third parties except service providers that help us run the app (such as hosting and email delivery), or where the law requires it.

Free version

This app version has no purchases or subscriptions. It does not ask for payment card or bank details, or initialize a purchase service to process a transaction. A future version that offers paid plans will explain the payment provider and relevant data use before purchase.

Deleting your account

Open Settings → Delete my account, read the choices and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion removes your account email, sign-in records, sessions, table memberships and block relations. It signs you out and skips queued notifications. Your display name and names in past round rosters become “Former member.” A table you own passes to a remaining member or closes if nobody remains. New account deletions also remove that account’s registered push tokens, reminder preferences, table mutes and push-delivery records. A notification already being sent cannot be recalled.

Shared history and other retained records

Past rounds, votes and results remain so the other members’ shared history continues to work. By default your community posts, comments and table messages remain under “Former member”; the additional erasure option replaces their text with an erasure/removal notice. We retain safety reports and moderation/audit history for safety handling, feedback to track product issues, and service/access history to operate and protect the service. Historical trial or billing records, if present, are not removed by account deletion. Earlier usage events are re-keyed and sign-up origins detached from the deleted player; this does not erase all retained history. These remaining categories have no single automatic expiry; contact us to request review or deletion of associated data.

Deletion requests and provider records

If you cannot use the app, or want to request deletion of other associated data, email jkinney@flip-tech.com or use the instructions at thewobblystool.com/account-deletion. We may need to verify account ownership; never send a password or sign-in code. Deleting an app account does not itself remove records held by separate providers or cancel a store subscription. If you have a subscription, cancel it separately in your store account. Device and delivery records from accounts deleted before the updated deletion controls may still need separate cleanup.

Children

The app is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy from time to time. Current app documents are available in Settings → Terms, Privacy & Contact. Contact jkinney@flip-tech.com with a privacy, account or support request.
