Delete your account
You can delete your The Wobbly Stool account in the app. If you cannot use the app, you can request deletion by email below. Account deletion cannot be undone.
Delete in the app
- Sign in to The Wobbly Stool and open Settings → Delete my account.
- Read what is removed and what stays. Choose whether to also erase the text of your comments and table messages.
- Type DELETE and choose Permanently delete my account.
If your account is suspended, the restricted-account screen also offers deletion. If it asks you to verify your identity again, sign out and verify a new email code; signing in does not lift the suspension.
Request deletion without the app
Send an account deletion request to jkinney@flip-tech.com. Use your app sign-in email where possible, identify The Wobbly Stool, and say whether you also want your comment and table-message text erased. You can also request deletion of other associated data; tell us which data you mean. You do not need to reinstall the app to send a request.
Write an account deletion request
This opens an email draft. Opening it does not send a request or delete your account. Send the email to submit your request. We may need to verify account ownership before acting; never send a password or sign-in code.
What the current in-app controls do
- Remove your app email and sign-in records and sign you out on every device.
- Replace your displayed name with Former member, remove you from your tables, and skip queued notifications. A table you own passes to another member or closes if nobody remains.
- New account deletions also remove the account’s registered push tokens, reminder preferences, table mutes and push-delivery records. A notification already being sent cannot be recalled. Device and delivery records from accounts deleted before these updated controls may still need separate cleanup.
- Keep past round results and voting history. By default your comments and table messages remain under Former member; the optional erasure control replaces their text with a deletion notice.
- Keep some other records, including safety reports, moderation history, feedback and trial or billing records where present. Deleting an app account does not itself erase records held by separate service providers. See the app Privacy Policy for retained history and other deletion requests.
Cancel any store subscription separately
The first release is free and does not offer in-app purchases. If you have a store subscription from an earlier plan or a later release, deleting your app account does not cancel it; cancel it separately through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
For questions about retained records or other associated data, contact support. Read the app Privacy Policy and app Terms of Use, also available in Settings → Terms, Privacy & Contact.
